- This page is about events for people with epilepsy and their families.
- We also have information on professional epilepsy training courses.
Epilepsy Action events provide the opportunity to
- meet other people living with epilepsy
- listen to informative presentations about epilepsy
- get involved, ask questions or give input
- learn more about Epilepsy Action
They also provide an opportunity to meet and talk to Epilepsy Action staff, branch members, volunteers and, if available, an expert (for example a nurse or consultant).
Our events this year differ to our usual programme of conferences and seminars. They are now tailored to suit the area and resources available. It’s a whole new approach to local events – that lets you get involved by putting your own ideas forward.
By changing the type of events we hold we are opening them up to a wider audience. Rather than holding events that are purely for people with epilepsy, many events are open to the general public. Conferences and seminars are still on the agenda, but we are also offering workshops, family days, exhibitions and roadshows.
Some events run for half a day or an evening, some for a full day. Refreshments are provided with lunch being offered at full day events.
Ticket prices where applicable are the same as last year and cover the cost of refreshments and any literature available. Many events are free to attend.
This page is updated when booking forms and new information about the event arrive. If a booking form is available, please click on the name of the location to download the form. Bookings should be made seven days in advance of the event date. For more information on any event listed please contact the local services department on 0113 210 8800 or email at lso@epilepsy.org.uk
