I am consultant clinical neuropsychologist at the Greater Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, Salford Royal Hospital. I am lead clinician for neuropsychology services to neurology and my role includes leading the psychology service for epilepsy and epilepsy surgery.
Therapeutic intervention forms a large part of my clinical practice and within the service we aim to take a holistic approach to assessment and intervention of the emotional and cognitive problems that may be associated with having epilepsy.
I am active in research and have an established record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. My research interests are in keeping with my clinical practice and the majority of my publications are associated with the impact of epilepsy on quality of life, cognitive function and emotional wellbeing.
I am very keen to become more actively involved with Epilepsy Action. I have had some experience with the organisation in the last few years, assessing research grant applications and chairing the debate at an annual conference.
I am a professional member of Epilepsy Action. I aim to contribute to council with my professional knowledge and skills.
