Epilepsy Action position statement on cosmetic treatment and beauty therapy
December 2011
"There is no evidence to suggest that everyone with epilepsy should be denied access to cosmetic treatments and beauty therapies. To deny people access to these services just because they have epilepsy is direct discrimination, and for this reason unlawful." more
Statement on 'Involuntary Dances' at the Bradford Playhouse – 24 November 2009
Dance artist, Rita Marcalo, will attempt to induce an epileptic seizure over a 24-hour period at the Bradford Playhouse as part of a performance art piece on 11 and 12 December.
Social care green paper – 'Shaping the Future of Care Together'
"At this stage, Epilepsy Action does not feel able to take a position regarding this green paper as there are no specific proposals to change how social care is delivered. We do not have a position on the future funding mechanisms of social care." more
Wind turbines
"Epilepsy Action does not challenge the theory that wind turbines may create circumstances where photosensitive seizures can be triggered. However from our experience and that of our members and website users it does appear that this risk is minimal." more
Folic Acid
