We exist to improve the lives
of everyone affected by epilepsy

My greatest achievement is...

Running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Epilepsy Action in 2009 - despite having seizures every few weeks and being rather heavy for a long distance runner, it really was an amazing feeling to complete the distance 8 months after first putting on a pair of running shoes!

I was first diagnosed with epilepsy aged 19 and my consultant at the time was fantastic at explaining what was going on what I had to to but emphasised "don't wrap yourself if cotton wool" which really gave me the confidence to enjoy my time at university and to take on new challenges when they arise.
