Channel 4 documentary about Young Carers (9-14 yrs)

Epilepsy Action has been approached by a documentary production company who are developing a film for Channel 4 focussing on young carers in the UK. The company are looking to work with children aged 9-14 years who are just about the only carer for another family member with epilepsy.

Living with epilepsy in England?

We've done a survey of health trusts to find out about current services available for people with epilepsy. The results of this survey will be made available to individual health trusts to help inform them about any gaps in service provision. The results will also allow Epilepsy Action to assess epilepsy services available in different parts of the country.

Last summer, you may remember that the report Wasted money, wasted lives was published.  It looked at the human and economic costs of epilepsy in England, and condemned the continued government failure to meet the needs of people living with the condition.

Thanks to everyone who responded to our earlier posting looking for people to sign up for guaranteed places in the Great North Run.  I'm pleased to report that we have none of those left - we have willing runners happy to run the half-marathon to raise money for us.
