Epilepsy Action’s strategy for women

I am currently planning Epilepsy Action’s strategy for women. This strategy will guide the work we do in women’s health in the UK, for the years 2011-13.

For this reason, I’d like to hear from women with epilepsy living in the UK. I really want to know what issues you would like Epilepsy Action to challenge in the next three years. For example, should we write a fact sheet on a particular topic, or should we campaign for more research into a specific area of female health?

You could help us create the strategy for women, by telling me about your own experiences of living with epilepsy, or by simply answering the following three questions:

1. What two topics would you like to see Epilepsy Action tackle over the next three years?
2. What is the most important ‘social’ issue you think we need to work on?
3. Have you been very impressed by any other charity’s (non- televised) campaign during the last two years? If so which campaign and why?

You can reply to my request for help, by posting your comments here, sending an email to me at n.crosby@epilepsy.org.uk or, by telephoning 0113 210 8800. Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to include every idea in our plans, but each idea will help me to understand your needs.

Best wishes,
