Recent news

We set our alarm clocks and rose early on 22 June to collect from London and Cambridge bound commuters at Bishop’s Stortford and Audley End train stations. Five people raised £307 for Epilepsy Action in just over two hours – well worth the early start [and we were able to send this sum to Leeds allocated to the Sapphire Nurse, Education and Research.

In July we had an information stall on the town common as part of Saffron Walden Carnival, Community Day and made many new contacts.  It made up for our disappointment at being unable to enter the 1950’s bus in the Carnival procession as we had done for so many years previously

On 24 September we are holding an Advice and Information Day in the Day Centre, Hill Street, Saffron Walden from 10.00 am to 2.30 pm.  Anyone with an interest in epilepsy is welcome to drop in for a coffee, chat and information.

We look forward to supporting a similar Advice and Information function in the lobby of the Co-operative supermarket, Weavers Court, Halstead on Saturday October 1 provisionally between 10 am and 3.pm (Actual times to be confirmed). Please feel free to come and say hello at either of these events.

After this we will be preparing for our annual street collection in Saffron Walden on Saturday 19 November between 9am and 3pm, with counting at 4.pm  For further information or if you wish to give us an hour of your time at the collection, please contact Christine on 01799 527546
