Five minutes? You could:
- Make sure that your family and friends have got their first aid Action card.
- Take an Action poster to your local GP, community centre, religious centre, residents association, gym or school and ask the manger to add it to their notice board.
- Ask your employer’s permission to put up an Action poster in the staff or first aid room, and/or some Action cards on reception.
15 minutes? You could:
- View the Take epilepsy action video at www.epilepsy.org.uk/campaigns/take-epilepsy-action and then share it with your contacts.
- View the Man having a seizure video (an absence seizure) at www.youtube.com/user/epilepsyaction and then share it with your contacts.
30 minutes? You could:
- Aim to put five Take epilepsy action posters on public notice boards.
- Ask your employer to show the Take epilepsy action video (first aid for seizures) as part of their first aid training for staff
- Ask your employers to add the Take epilepsy action video to your works intranet.
30 minutes and willing to share your photo and experience of being a campaign supporter?
Here at head office we are creating a new flyer and webpage to promote the Campaign Supporters Group. The flyer will go in our membership packs, and will be sent to people who want to know more about our campaigning work. It will also be used to promote the group at conferences and events.
This is your group, and we need your help to promote it to new members. For the flyer and web page, we want people to send in a photo and write a short paragraph on:
- Why you think campaigning is important
- Why we need to raise awareness and do more for people with epilepsy
- Why people should join the Campaign Supporters’ Group.
If you can help, please get in touch with the campaigns team by calling 0113 210 8877 or emailing campaigns@epilepsy.org.uk.
Whether you could spare five, 15 or 30 minutes - please remember to share your success with us
To stop receiving updates from Epilepsy Action campaign Supporters’ Group, please email campaigns@epilepsy.org.uk or telephone 0113 210 8800.
