When government departments and other organisations want to introduce changes they usually ask the public what they think of their plans. This is called consultation.
Epilepsy Action frequently receives consultations and responds on behalf of people with epilepsy. As a membership organisation, we want everyone with an interest in our work to see exactly what we are saying on their behalf. Epilepsy Action has recently responded to a number of consultations including Personal Independent Payments, Long Terms Condition Strategy, NICE antenatal quality standards, and Commissioning Outcomes Framework.
We have improved the way people can view our consultation responses on the internet, by setting up a dedicated page www.epilepsy.org.uk/campaigns/consultations. This page gives a summary of each response, as well as the full response. It is worth checking this page regularly as new consultation responses will be listed here.
