Can I appeal?
Last checked 18/06/2008
Yes.
This is your right if you believe you have been wrongly diagnosed with epilepsy, or if you believe an error has been made by the DVLNI. Firstly check with your doctor, as they may be able to find out more information about your case from the DVLNI.
You will then need to appeal to the DVLNI. If you believe their decision is unlawful, you can then appeal to your local Magistrates Court.
There are strict timescales in which to lodge a formal appeal. At a Magistrates court it is six months from the date of the DVLNI’s decision.
