Is there anything that will make my seizures more likely to happen?

Some people have ‘triggers’ which make seizures more likely. Here is a list of common triggers.

  • Stress
  • Alcohol
  • Disturbed sleep
  • Boredom
  • Missed meals
  • Not taking anti-epileptic drugs as prescribed

Keeping a diary of your seizures can help you identify if there’s anything in particular that triggers your seizures. Make a note of what you were doing or how you were feeling beforehand.
