Margaret Park
Margaret Park aged 54
Life at 50 was devastated.
Many friends didn't want to know, others were fantastic. My husband fell apart, the children were brilliant.
I cried. Life hit rock bottom. I decided to fight back.
I was no different really. I put on weight. So what?
My reactions were sluggish; I couldn't drive, so I walked.
When I applied for jobs, managers were terrified.
I saw a brilliant psychiatrist, she pulled me through.
I got a job where many of my clients were epileptics. I really understood their problems.
My philosophy now - you can do anything, tell people, but don’t push it.
It's their problem if they can't cope, not mine. I can.
