Abseils

New Years resolution? Want to do something different? Why not try abseiling for Epilepsy Action?

This year we have a number of excellent locations and opportunities to abseil :

Sunday 14th June 2009  Riverwalk House, London
Saturday 27th June 2009  St Mary’s Church, Sheffield
Sunday 5th July 2009  Kings College Hospital, London
Sunday 5th July 2009  The New Art Gallery, Walsall
Sunday 20th September 2009  The Marquess of Anglesey’s Column, North Wales

Abseils are a brilliant way to raise money for charity. The experience is exhilarating, gives you a rush of adrenaline and is a fantastic opportunity to do something memorable.

Abseils are organised by Adventure Challenge Events, which has grown from Adventure Unlimited, a succesful climbing and mountaineering company.

All the equipment used is from Adventure Unlimited and is inspected by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority).

All employed staff are qualified, and are governed by Mountain Leader Training Board – England and the British Mountaineering Council.

Adventure Challenge Events are insured by the civil liability cover of up to £5 million.

The minimum age recommended for doing these events is 16. Any abseilers under the age of 16 will need to have a parent or guardian present at the event or prior written consent.

On the day of the event you will have to sign an indemnity form, which states that you understand that you will be participating in an adventurous activity.
