To my knowledge there is no Epilepsy Specialist Nurse at my local neurology clinic, though I don't use it, I did find this out a couple of years ago via my MP, who sent me a copy of the hospital's response and how they failed to provide a specialist nurse.
I use a major London epilepsy centre that has two nurses, though I have never seen one and personally not felt the need. I fully appreciate that some people find them a whole lot more approachable and accessible than a neurologist. They are in any case the first line of contact should I need to contact my neuros in London and their phone numbers are provided on the letters.
I strongly support their position and would call on areas lacking to train or recruit one.
