Weddings and Civil Partnerships
Grainne and Jonathan share their day…
We had a fantastic day and I am glad to say everything passed off without any major hitches. When deciding on wedding favours, so much money had been spent on other things we thought it would be a good idea to give something back. Epilepsy Action provided support for Jonathan’s family when he was first diagnosed at the age of eight, it was a great comfort to know that someone was there at the end of the phone offering advice and reassurance when needed.
We decided to give each guest an Epilepsy Action charity pin as a memento and we also placed cards on each table informing people of our chosen charity.
We are both delighted that someone will benefit from our decision to donate to such a worthy charity and hope more will choose the option we did in the future.
Our best wishes go to Grainne and Jonathan. Thanks to their gift, we can continue to provide advice and information when it’s needed most.
Birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions
Kath and Harry shared their golden wedding anniversary...
Their granddaughter has a severe form of epilepsy and so they didn’t hesitate in asking their family and friends for donations to be given to Epilepsy Action instead of gifts.
Harry commented: “We are delighted that everyone has given so generously”. Because they also used Epilepsy Action’s gift aid envelopes to collect the donations, their donation was worth even more towards our services for people with epilepsy.
Our thanks and congratulations go to Kath and Harry and their family and friends for their wonderful gift.
