The Great British Duck Race 2008
We helped break the world record - and with your help we can do it again...
In 2007 The Great British Duck Race smashed the Singapore World Record by racing 165,000 yellow plastic ducks down the river Thames and raised over £100,000 for 440 UK charities.
For 2008 the Great British Duck Race aims to break the new record once more and race a quarter of a million little yellow ducks down the one kilometre race course! This will break the record we already hold, and prove to the rest of the duck racing world that Great Britain does it better!!!
The event will take place on Sunday the 31 August. The ducks will take to the water on our dedicated course at Moseley Lock, near Hampton Court Palace, London.
It is just £2 to adopt a duck*. There are 30 top prizes, and first prize is a whopping £10,000. (*Your £2 includes a donation to our three lead charities, additional donations can be made to support your chosen charity).
If you wish to adopt a duck and make a donation to Epilepsy Action at the same time, simply follow the link below and select Epilepsy Action from the drop down menu.
