About the Death Valley Cycle

Death Valley National Park is located in the South California Desert in Nevada. Many people overlook the park due to the misguided belief that it is lifeless. However this 3.4 million acre park is not only the largest park in the USA, but arguably the most striking setting on Mother Earth.

The valley itself is 130 miles (209km) long, between six and 13 miles (10-21km) wide and is surrounded by steep and beautiful mountain ranges. This cycle challenge will highlight the most dramatic and most interesting sights of the region. This includes amazing views of both the highest and lowest elevation locations in the 48 mainland states of the USA.
