About the India Land of the Kings Cycle Challenge
The Indian Cycle Challenge will provide you with an 'off-the-beaten-track' cycling adventure, through some of the best hill and desert landscapes that Rajasthan has to offer. You will cover a total distance of 248 miles (400km) over six consecutive days in the saddle through this fascinating region of India. In addition to experiencing India at its best, by bike, you will also have opportunities to explore the amazing painted "havelis" (mansions) of Shekawati. This is a remote area where rich merchants once aimed to outdo each other by painting their homes in ever more exuberant styles. Time has largely stood still since this extravagant heyday, making this a fascinating area in which to hold this cycling challenge.
From Shekawati you head further into rural Rajasthan, an area of stunning desert landscapes, dotted with villages of vibrant colour. This is a complete contrast to the world-renowned sights of Delhi, Jaipur and the Taj Mahal; with which the Cycle Challenge ends!
