Epilepsy Action Tips campaign

How does it work?

If you decide to join our campaign, you will add 50p onto each of your customer’s bills.

We will supply you with a small card to sit neatly on your tables so your customers know who they are supporting. Customers will be given instructions to notify a member of staff should they wish to opt out.

At the end of the month, you will calculate how much you have raised from the E.A.T. donations and forward the amount onto us.

How long does it last?

We ask that you join the campaign for a month, but welcome you to join us for as long as you want.

If you would like to join us for longer, and any of the table cards start to look worn, we can replace these for you as well.

What about VAT?

The 50p donation will not affect your VAT returns as it is added after the service charge and VAT for the meal.

Will it affect our tips?

Evidence from other schemes suggests that this will not affect tips your staff receive for service. A 50p donation for a group of four is less than 15p each, and so is not a huge ask.

Will I get anything back?

As thanks for taking part, you will be listed on the E.A.T page of our website. We will also send you a certificate celebrating how much you raise when the campaign comes to an end.
