Every time you receive a letter or card, you could potentially be raising money to help those living with epilepsy by collecting the stamps. You may have an old stamp album collection you no longer wish to keep or have some unused stamps that you could donate too. For every kilo (2.2 lbs) of stamps donated to Epilepsy Action, at least £5 can be raised, sometimes much more, to help provide vital support.
What to collect
- Any postage stamps from any country, including used ones
- Unused mint stamps
- First day covers
- Presentation packs
- Sheets of stamps
- Stamp albums and collections
What to do next
- Cut or tear round used stamps taking care not to damage the stamp perforations to remove them from envelopes or package.
- No need to sort them
So why not start collecting? You could ask your friends and family to contribute or start a collection at your school or at your workplace. The stamps will soon add up. No matter how big or small the collection, everyone can make a real difference to people living with epilepsy.
If you wish to start a collection, we will be happy to provide you with an Epilepsy Action sticker to add to a suitable container. Simply add the “What to collect” and “What to do next” information above for guidance. Then send the stamps collected to the address below with the correct postage paid to Epilepsy Action*.

Due to the volume of collections we receive we are unable to write to people and thank them for the amount they have raised. On behalf of all those you have helped Epilepsy Action support, thank you.

*Because of the new postage size/weight rules, small bulky envelopes often result in Epilepsy Action paying excess postage charges.
