Epilepsy Action has four places for the first ever BUPA London 10k, taking place on 26 May 2008 (Bank Holiday Monday). This exciting 10k race has been organised by the team behind the Flora London Marathon and the BUPA Great North Run, and uniquely uses part of the Olympic 2012 marathon circuit and, as such, it is sure to be a high profile, widely televised running event. The idea of the event is that it’s a show case event for London in the lead up to the Olympic Games. If you would like one of our charity places, we ask all runners to pledge to raise a minimum of £275 for Epilepsy Action, with an additional £25 registration fee. In return, we will be happy to help and support you every step of the way and will supply you with a runner’s pack, including a FREE running vest, sponsorship forms, a training programme and all the fundraising advice that you can handle! Our places are now full, but if you would like to go on our waiting list, then please get in touch. The main ballot has now closed and you are no longer able to apply for your own place online at www.London10000.co.uk If you were able to get an independent place in the London 10k and you wish to run on behalf of Epilepsy Action, then we will still provide you with all the team benefits, but you will not be committed to raising a minimum sponsorship. Please contact Melanie Taylor on 0113 210 8800 or email mtaylor@epilepsy.org.uk for more information. This is a fantastic opportunity to be one of the first people to run the 2012 Olympic route and at the same time, raising funds for people with epilepsy. So please, join our team.
