Roy and Hayley (David Neilson and Julie Hesmondhalgh) share a Tea Break cuppaNational Tea Break
Friday 17 October 2008

National Tea Break is an annual opportunity to raise much needed funds for Epilepsy Action by simply drinking tea and eating cake. We’d really like you to join in the fun by organising a Tea Break!
If this sounds daunting, don’t worry because each year we produce an organiser’s starter pack to help you every step of the way. The pack gives you hints and tips on how to make your event a success and is packed full of all sorts of goodies. These include delicious recipes from celebrities such as comedians Stephen Fry and Victoria Wood, top chef Alan Coxon and fitness expert Rosemary Conley.

A tea break in the salonWhen does it happen?

National Tea Break 2007 took place on Friday 19 October and was a big success. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who organised an event and gave their support. An update on the amount raised and some photos from this year’s event will be on the website soon.

The next National Tea Break will be on Friday 17 October 2008 but don’t worry if you can’t do it then, just organise it for a date that best suits you. To register your interest in receiving an organiser’s starter pack, please complete our online form. Your packs will be sent to you at the beginning of September 2008.

Who can organise a Tea Break?

Anyone!

Christine, who organised a tea break last year, has made a video about why she got involved with the event!

Where are Tea Breaks held?

You can hold your Tea Break in your home, community centre, school, workplace or anywhere else you would like to!
We have had Tea Break events all over the UK, from the Shetlands to Cornwall.
