- Invite as many people as possible. The bigger your party, the more money you’ll raise.
- Why not treat your guests to party bags?
- Ask family or friends to be waiting staff for the evening and ask your guests to tip them to increase your fundraising total.
- Plan and prepare the theme and menu in advance to ensure you can relax and have fun with your guests!
- Why not make your evening about more than just the food and organise a raffle or auction? Ask your guests to bring clothes, books and other items of value or even offer their services in return for a donation! Please note: a raffle can be run without a license if it is part of a charity event, for example, The Big Eat. The maximum that can be spent on prizes is £20 (excluding donated prizes) and no cash prizes may be given. Tickets must be sold on the day of the event and not beforehand.
- Offer your guests a food tasting quiz, charge a £1 entry and you could even provide a prize for the winning diner.
- How about providing games as part of your Big Eat. You could host a murder mystery evening or just play some simple party games!
