The Challenge

One of the most spectacular long-distance walks in the UK, the West Highland Way is 152km (95 miles) long. The walk links Britain’s largest lake, Loch Lomond, with its highest mountain, Ben Nevis. This tour takes you into the majestic countryside of the Highlands of Scotland following some of Scotland’s most famous footpaths.

This wonderfully scenic five day tour has been in existence for over 25 years and links Milngavie, on the outskirts of Glasgow, to Fort William. The route is one of varied scenery and takes us through highland and lowland, woodland and moorland, mountain and by loch.

The route takes six days to complete - the average distance walked each day is 12-14 miles, with two longer days of 19 miles and 21 miles. The event involves approximately eight hours walking each day.
