| West Highland Way Walk
Join us for a fun filled week amongst some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in the world and walk the famous West Highland Way, while raising vital funds for Epilepsy Action. The walk links Milngavie, on the outskirts of Glasgow, to Fort William; a total of 95 miles. The route is one of varied scenery and takes us through highland and lowland, woodland and moorland, mountain and by loch. If you are lucky while walking the Way, you may also see some of the wildlife of the area: The feral goats left behind following the clearances, the magnificent red deer and away over the mountains, are soaring golden eagles. The West Highland Way is an experience not to be missed and it's certainly one you'll never forget! The route takes six days to complete - the average distance walked per day is 12-14 miles with two longer day of 19 miles and 21 miles. There is no climbing/scrambling but the event is physically demanding, involving approximately eight hours walking per day. However, this is more than made up for by the tremendous views!
