Ivax Pharmaceuticals have announced that the manufacturing site for Neurostil (gabapentin) 100mg, 300mg and 400mg capsules has been changed. All future stocks of Neurostil will be manufactured by TEVA Pharmaceuticals at their production site in Israel. The site is fully approved by all relevant authorities.
This change in production site involves a change in the capsule colour for all three strengths:
- 100mg capsule PA 282/74/1 will change from white to grey.
- 300mg capsule PA 282/74/2 will change from yellow to orange.
- 400mg capsule PA 282/74/3 will change from orange to brown.
Ivax Pharmaceuticals have informed us that the storage conditions for the product have also been updated. The bioequivalence profile for this product has not been changed (there is no change to the product) and should not affect patients currently taking Neurostil as part of their epilepsy treatment.
