Are you looking for love? Do you have epilepsy?

9 May, 2011

Channel 4 is developing a documentary series which would follow a group of people with a range of conditions and disabilities on a quest to find love.

As well as following some happy endings (hopefully), the intention is also to explore some of the barriers, issues and prejudices faced by people with disabilities and conditions.

  • Do you live in the UK?
  • Would like to find a partner?
  • Are you happy to talk about your experiences?

If so, please get in touch with Saskia at the TV production company Betty.  Call her on 020 7290 0660 or 0771 5111997 or email saskia.wilson@betty.co.uk  The chat is to help with our research and would be in confidence - you would not need to take part in the series itself.

The series is intended to offer greater insight into the issues faced by people with disabilities and they are currently talking to a number of organisations, including leading disability charities, about the series idea and to ensure it’s handled sensitively.

Note: this series is not yet a commission but in the research stages.
