Have you been bullied by a public authority because of your epilepsy?

2 July, 2010

The UK's Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is asking for examples of where people feel they have been bullied by public authorities because of a disability.

This means the police, social services, schools, bus companies and other agencies such as local councils.

Epilepsy Action will be writing to highlight that discrimination and stigma can be very important issues for people with epilepsy. But we hope anyone with a specific example of where they, or a friend or family member, have experienced discrimination or bullying will complete the EHRC questionnaire.

We, here at Epilepsy Action, are also interested in your experiences.  Please send a copy of your response to us by email to campaigns@epilepsy.org.uk.  This will help us in our work to raise awareness of the issues facing people with epilepsy. Any information you send us will be kept confidential.
