Young people’s TV documentary

18 January, 2011

True Stories Productions, an independent television company, is looking for young people aged 16-25 in the UK with uncontrolled epilepsy who may be interested in taking part in a documentary. The documentary will explore the issues and dilemmas young people face in growing up with epilepsy.

Do you feel that your epilepsy holds you back? Are there things you sometimes feel you can’t do because of your epilepsy? Do other people’s reactions to your epilepsy affect you? Do you have an ambition that you would like to achieve?  Would you like the chance to show the world what you can do?

The company is currently developing a programme for television broadcast. The hope is that it will provide an informative insight into the realities of living with epilepsy. The documentary will also aim to inspire confidence in anyone who is dealing with epilepsy for the first time.  By raising awareness of epilepsy, the documentary will hopefully help correct some of the misconceptions surrounding epilepsy.

At this stage the company are interested in hearing from young people who have uncontrolled epilepsy.
