Epilepsy Action’s East London Branch invites people to meet the local epilepsy nurse

Epilepsy Action’s East London Branch is inviting people with epilepsy, their family and carers to come and meet the local epilepsy nurse.

The meeting will take place on 31 March from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at St John’s Church Centre, Stratford Broadway, Stratford.

New epilepsy nurse for Royal Free Hampstead

Adults attending the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead are to benefit from improved epilepsy services with the appointment of the hospital’s first epilepsy Sapphire Nurse.

Epilepsy Action, in conjunction with the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead NHS Trust, has appointed Adina Nash as a nurse who specialises in caring for people with epilepsy.  Adina will work as a clinical nurse specialist for epilepsy alongside consultant neurologists at the hospital to provide this vital service.

Islington man completes 10k run for epilepsy charity

An Islington man, whose wife has epilepsy, has completed the Asics British 10k London Run, raising almost £2,000 for Epilepsy Action. Callum Rodgers chose to raise vital funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity because his wife has epilepsy.

Callum, 42, joined thousands of others in the 10K challenge on Sunday 11 July through the heart of London, passing many of the city’s world famous and iconic sights.
