Maghaberry woman gets a mauve on to raise purple pounds for epilepsy charity

14 March, 2013

A Maghaberry woman is bringing some colour to town to celebrate the fifth annual Purple Day, the international day to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy. Kim Drillingcourt is holding a purple-themed day in memory of a friend and local villager who had epilepsy and sadly died last year. The day will raise money for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s leading epilepsy organisation. The charity is calling on people across the UK to ‘get a mauve on and raise purple pounds’ by creating special purple-themed events and challenges.
