Llanelli Branch perform a first aid demonstration to address issue

Epilepsy Action’s Llanelli Branch is holding a first aid demonstration in Llanelli to support the charity’s Take epilepsy action campaign. 

The first aid demonstration will be take place on Wednesday 9 November at St Elli shopping centre (near Asda), Llanelli. There will be an epilepsy information stand from 9.30am. First aid demonstrations will be performed at 10.30am, 12.30pm, and 2.30pm. 

Free course for people with epilepsy in Omagh to develop personal development skills

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, has awarded funding to its Omagh Branch to run a personal development course for people with epilepsy. The Omagh Branch is the first Epilepsy Action branch in the UK to be awarded funds from the charity’s ‘Diamond Projects’ scheme.

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a seminar on epilepsy and depression. Leading Professor Mike Kerr, Honorary Professor of Neuropsychiatry at Cardiff University, will be speaking at the event.

The workshop will take place on Saturday 17 September at The Holiday Inn, Ormeau Avenue, Belfast, from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Epilepsy Action Cymru is holding a seminar on epilepsy, during the Victorian Festival. 

The seminar will take place on 26 August from 10.00am until 4.00pm at the Metropole Hotel, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells. There will be a general awareness talk on epilepsy at 2.00pm. The event is aimed at anyone with an interest in epilepsy.

Epilepsy Action Northern Ireland launches at Stormont

UK-wide charity Epilepsy Action is celebrating a new identity in Northern Ireland. The launch of Epilepsy Action Northern Ireland took place at Stormont yesterday (Monday 4 July).

The launch celebrated the new Epilepsy Action Northern Ireland identity, which came into use on 1 January of this year. People from all areas of the epilepsy community in Northern Ireland, including health and education professionals and those directly affected by epilepsy, attended the launch. Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), including George Robinson, Jim Wells, Paul Givan, Kieran McCarthy, Pat Ramsey and Barry McElduff also attended.
