Double Marathon Challenge for Quinton (Baldock, Hertfordshire)

10 April, 2007

Quinton Sheppard from Baldock, Hertfordshire will be taking part in the Flora London Marathon on 22 April 2007 in aid of Epilepsy Action; the UK’s leading member led epilepsy charity.

This is the first year that Quinton will be tackling the gruelling 26.2 miles and even though he has multiple seizures almost every night he has still been doing an extensive amount of training for the race.

Quinton says;” I have had epilepsy since I was three but this is the first time that I will be raising money for Epilepsy Action which is a cause that is very important to me. I want to show people that epilepsy shouldn’t prevent you from reaching for your dreams. It’s great to be able to do something like this for Epilepsy Action because not only am I raising money for a deserving cause I am also getting myself fit in the process!”

Quinton will also be taking part in the demanding New York Marathon for Epilepsy Action, which is being held on 4 November 2007 in New York. You can sponsor Quinton for both his marathons at www.justgiving.com/challenge2007

The money raised by Quinton will help fund vital advice and information services provided by the charity. Epilepsy Action has a network of branches across the UK and now directly helps more than 497,000 people every year.
