Dance The Night Away For Epilepsy Charity

10 November, 2008

Amanda Underwood and Raynor Bannard from Far Cotton will be hosting an 80s Disco Night on Saturday November 15. The event will be held at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Sheep Street, in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

The evening of entertainment will take place from 7.30pm until late and everyone is invited to dance the night away to some classic 80s music. There will also be a prize raffle held, including chocolates and champagne to be won, to raise as much funds as possible to help support the 456,000 people living with epilepsy in the UK.

Amanda, whose five-year-old nephew has epilepsy, said: “We have received lots of advice and support from Epilepsy Action and want to raise money to say thank you. There will be something for everyone at the event and we can’t wait to dance to some 80’s music while having fun for such a good cause!”

Tickets for the event are £5 and must be bought in advance, to get yours call Susan Bannard on 07843 249 409.

The money raised at the disco will help fund the vital advice and information services provided by the charity. Last year, Epilepsy Action directly helped more than 731,000 people through a range of services including its advice and information centre, branch network, Epilepsy Helpline freephone 0808 800 5050 and award-winning website, www.epilepsy.org.uk
