Barking and Dagenham with Havering Branch is on the move

14 March, 2008

The Epilepsy Action Barking and Dagenham with Havering branch has moved to a new, larger venue in April for their monthly meetings.

The meetings will now be held at Kingsley Hall, Parsloes Avenue, Dagenham, Essex and are open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy living in the region.

Susan Mistry, regional services manager for the South East, said: “We hope our new, easily accessible meeting place will encourage more people to come along to branch events. We are looking forward to arranging a more active programme that will allow us to increase our support of people affected by epilepsy in the area. “

The meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month from 7.30-9.30pm, and provide an opportunity for people to find out more about living with epilepsy in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. For more information about the meetings please contact Lorraine Smith, branch chairman and secretary on 020 8593 2407.

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, has an extensive network of branches throughout the UK. The branches hold regular meetings and offer a variety of social events and informative talks and discussions relating to epilepsy. The meetings offer the opportunity for people to share their experiences of living with epilepsy and also raise awareness of the condition in the local community.
