Epilepsy Action’s East London Branch is inviting people with epilepsy, their family and carers to come and meet the local epilepsy nurse.
The meeting will take place on 31 March from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at St John’s Church Centre, Stratford Broadway, Stratford.
Harriet Spencer, epilepsy specialist nurse at Homerton Hospital, will be talking about her work as an epilepsy specialist nurse. She will be on hand to answer questions about the day to day management of epilepsy. The meeting is an ideal opportunity for anyone who has epilepsy or an interest in the condition to find out more information. People will be able to meet others in similar situations and find out what support is available locally.
Marie Edgar, local services manager for south east England, said: “Knowing the correct facts about your epilepsy is the key to living successfully with epilepsy. Come and meet the people at your local Epilepsy Action East London Branch. You can learn more about the role of the epilepsy nurse, and how your nurse can help you. We also have a daytime coffee and chat group meeting in Romford. Come and find out more."
