A Lewisham man is in training for his first ever running challenge, the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, to raise money for national charity, Epilepsy Action.
Michael Eder will be joining hundreds from all over the UK to run through central London on Sunday October 12, to help support the 456,000 people living with epilepsy in the UK. The route takes in the four royal parks of London, including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, and then runs along the River Thames. The half marathon also takes in many of the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace.
Michael said: “Some of my friends and members of my family have epilepsy and I want to help raise awareness of Epilepsy Action, and a condition that is so often misunderstood.”
He continued: “I am most looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere and running alongside so many people for such a worthy cause. I can’t wait to cross the finish line!”
