Pupils and staff at Edward Feild School in Kidlington have been named primary school winners in this year’s National Doodle Day competition.
The school was one of hundreds to take part in National Doodle Day, which took place earlier this year in aid of Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association. Members of the public and schools were invited to submit doodles into a national competition to raise vital funds for the two charities.
Maureen Lipman, author and Doodle Day Patron, judged the various categories, and Edward Feild School has been awarded £500 worth of BIC stationary products.
Sue May from Edward Feild School said; “It was great to see the pupils raising money and awareness while having great fun doodling! We are really excited to have won the competition and are looking forward to taking part in National Doodle Day next year!”
The event, which this year included a charity auction of around 400 celebrity doodles has raised more than £160,000 over the last five years. To find out how to take part in next year's National Doodle Day on Friday 27 February , go to www.nationaldoodleday.org.uk or call on 0113 210 8800.
