Epilepsy Action, the UK's largest member-led epilepsy charity, is urging runners to join its team and step up to the challenge of this year's BUPA Great South Run.
The event will take place on Sunday October 26, but with an entry closing date of August 31, runners need to hurry to secure a place. The popular run is a 10-mile road race in Southsea, Portsmouth.
Philippa Corner, Epilepsy Action's events manager, said: "The BUPA Great South Run has proved a very successful event for Epilepsy Action in years gone by, helping to raise over £10,000 to support people affected by epilepsy. We need to recruit as many runners as possible to help make this year's event just as successful.
"If you are interested in taking part in the run on behalf of Epilepsy Action, all we ask is that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £275 and pay a £32 registration fee for your place. For this you will receive a guaranteed place in the run, a free Epilepsy Action running vest and a unique Epilepsy Action goodie bag!"
You can sign up for an Epilepsy Action Great South Run guaranteed place by simply logging on to www.epilepsy.org.uk or calling Philippa Corner on 0113 210 8800. Remember, the entry closing date of Sunday August 31 is quickly approaching, so apply now to avoid disappoint!
