The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon

The UK’s leading member led epilepsy charity, Epilepsy Action, still has guaranteed places available in this year’s Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon. People from all over the UK will be running through central London on Sunday October 12 2008.

The route runs through the four royal parks of London, including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, and along the River Thames. Runners and spectators will be able to experience some magnificent close up views of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.

Philippa Corner, events manager at Epilepsy Action said: “This is an event for everyone! There will be activities for all the family, including the Brakes Food and Fitness Festival, the Charity Village and much, much more. The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon promises to be a successful new event for Epilepsy Action, bringing us much needed funds of over £50,000.”

She continues “If you are interested in running the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on behalf of Epilepsy Action, all we ask you to do is raise a minimum sponsorship of £275 and pay a £40 registration fee for your place. For this you will receive a guaranteed place in the race, a free Epilepsy Action running vest and a unique Epilepsy Action goody bag!”
