Epilepsy Advice and Information Day in Hexham

12 September, 2007

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity, is holding an advice and information day on Tuesday September 25 between 9.30am and 4.00pm. The event will be held at Hexham Market Place, Hexham, Northumberland.

The aim of the friendly and informal day is to make advice and information readily available, and to raise awareness and support of Epilepsy Action’s Hexham branch.

Bob Dennis, Epilepsy Action’s regional services manager in the North East says: “The advice and information day is open to anyone, whether a person with epilepsy, a parent or carer, family member, friend or just someone who wants to help out. If you are interested in joining, please come along; you will be made very welcome.”

Epilepsy Action has an extensive network of branches throughout the UK, which are run by volunteers. Most hold regular meetings and offer a mixture of social events and informative talks and discussions. The meetings also offer the opportunity to talk to people who understand what it is like to live with epilepsy as well as a chance to help raise awareness of epilepsy in the local community.
