The South Manchester Branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK's largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is holding a meeting to support people in the area affected by epilepsy, their families and carers.
The event will be held on Thursday 16 September from 7.30pm to 9.00pm at Park House, 73 Northenden Road, Sale. The aim of the meeting is to support people with epilepsy.
The South Manchester Branch has been holding regular monthly meetings since it was constituted in 1999. It has a relaxed atmosphere and provides the opportunity to talk about different aspects of epilepsy in an informal and friendly setting. The branch is appealing for more volunteers to help with committee activities. This provides a chance for local people to develop new skills with others who understand the needs of people with epilepsy.
Cliff Challenger, Epilepsy Action's regional services manager for the north England, said: “Being an Epilepsy Action volunteer is a great way to help people with epilepsy, feel good about yourself and do something in your local community. I welcome interest from anyone in the South Manchester area to take on a volunteering role with the branch. It’s very rewarding, and not too demanding.”
The South Manchester Branch holds regular monthly meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 7.30pm. Meetings are held at Park House, 73 Northenden Road, Sale.
