Epilepsy Action talk on advice services (Preston)

The Preston branch of Epilepsy Action, is to hold a meeting featuring a talk from Patien t Advice and Liaison Services (PALS) from 7.30pm on Thursday February 21 2008 at Preston Council for Voluntary Services, Guild Hall Arcade, Lancaster Road, PR1 1HR.

Jane Collinson, PALS Officer from Preston and Chorley Hospital, will be providing people with the opportunity to find out more about PALS and the services they offer.

Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS) is a confidential service which provides information, advice and support to help parents, families and their carers find answers to questions or concerns regarding the care or treatment they receive from all NHS services.

Beth De Nobrega, secretary of the Preston branch, said: “Those who attend the meeting will be able to gain some extremely interesting information. During the meeting Jane will be outlining how PALS can help with problems people have with getting the best treatment for epilepsy.”

The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy, including people living with the condition, their friends, family and carers.

The Epilepsy Action Preston branch (a volunteer led support group) meet on the third Thursday of every month at 7.30pm in the premises of Preston Council for Voluntary Services.
