Epilepsy Advice and Information Day in Oswaldtwistle Mills

11 April, 2007

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led charity, is holding a tin collection and advice and information day on Saturday April 28 from 10.30am until 4 pm at Oswaldtwistle Mills.

The aim of the tin collection is to raise funds for the volunteer-led support group in the area. The Epilepsy Action Blackburn and Hyndburn branch meet on the last Wednesday in every month at 7.15 pm in either Blackburn Library, Northgate entrance, Blackburn, or Maundy Grange, Abbey Street, Accrington.

Epilepsy Action staff and volunteers will be available at the advice and information day to answer questions about epilepsy in confidence and advise on local branch activity.

Annie Thompson, regional services manager said: “People usually just ‘drop in’ and ask questions. In the past, advice and information days have attracted all sorts of people, including families, teachers, nurses and carers. It will give people in Accrington affected by epilepsy an opportunity to find out useful information”.

Anyone who is interested in joining the support group or would like to find out more but cannot attend on the day should contact Gordon on 01254 381852.
