Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led charity, is holding a tin collection and advice and information day on Saturday May 19 from 10.00am until 4 pm at Stretford Mall.
The aim of the tin collection is to raise funds for the volunteer led support group in the area. Epilepsy Action accredited volunteers will be available at the advice and information day to answer questions about epilepsy in confidence and advise on local branch activity.
Karen Miller, chair of the South Manchester branch said: “People usually just ‘drop in’ and ask questions. In the past, advice and information days have attracted all sorts of people, including families, teachers, nurses and carers. It will give people in South Manchester affected by epilepsy an opportunity to find out useful information”.
The Epilepsy Action South Manchester branch meets on the third Thursday in every month at 7.30 pm in Park House, Northernden Road, Sale.
