Anthony Pooler from Bacup, Lancashire will be taking part in The Great Manchester Run in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity.
The Great Manchester Run will take place on Sunday May 20 in Manchester and is one of the world's fastest-growing running events and Britain's premier 10 kilometre run.
Anthony says: “I wanted to raise money for Epilepsy Action as I have epilepsy myself. I also thought that training for the race would be a good opportunity to help me lose weight. I’m looking forward to the atmosphere before the race and also the feeling of relief when I cross the finish line!”
The money raised by Anthony will help fund vital advice and information services provided by the charity. Epilepsy Action has a network of branches across the UK and now directly helps more than 550,000 people every year.
