The Welsh Conservative Assembly Member for Clwyd West is to attend an Epilepsy Action branch seminar on Friday July 4. The meeting will take place at The Bull, Chapel Street, Abergele between 7.00pm – 9.00pm.
Darren Millar, Shadow Minister for the Environment and Planning in the National Assembly for Wales will attend the meeting to discuss issues concerning people living with epilepsy in the region. The Welsh Assembly Government has just completed a public consultation document, on a groundbreaking care plan for people with epilepsy in Wales. The seminar will provide delegates with the opportunity to discuss the care plan and voice their opinions on how Darren can help to improve epilepsy services in the future.
Ann Reynolds, Epilepsy Action’s regional services manager for Wales said: "We are very pleased to have Darren attending the Conwy branch meeting. We are hoping this will be a very useful exchange of information. It will allow attendees to understand how parliament works and Darren to learn more about how epilepsy affects people in the area. The meeting is open to everyone, so please come along and you will be made very welcome.”
The Epilepsy Action Conwy and District branch meets every month and has now moved to its new location at the Bull in Abergele. Anyone who is interested in attending the meeting or who would like further information about the branch should call Ann Reynolds on 01633 253407.
Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, has an extensive network of branches throughout the UK.
