Epilepsy Action’s Foyle branch is holding an advice and information day from 10.00am on Friday April 20 in Foyleside Shopping Centre, Derry.
The aim of the friendly and informal day is to make advice and information readily available, whilst raising awareness of epilepsy and the support services provided in Derry. The event is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy.
Morina Clarke, Epilepsy Action’s regional service manager for Northern Ireland says: “Epilepsy Action Foyle branch members are actively involved in promoting epilepsy awareness in Derry and surrounding area. Epilepsy occurs in 1 in 131 of the population. There are approximately 13,000 people with epilepsy in Northern Ireland, 1,200 of which live in the Western Board area. This information day will provide the opportunity for people to obtain information on epilepsy and the work of Foyle branch who offer support to people with epilepsy and carers in Derry.”
