The Llanelli branch of Epilepsy Action is holding an advice and information day on Thursday March 20. The event will run from 9:30am – 3:30pm at the Llanelli Shopping Centre in town.
The aim of the friendly and informal day is to provide advice and information on epilepsy to people with an interest in the condition, and to raise awareness of the support available for people living with epilepsy in the region.
Ann Reynolds, regional services manager for Epilepsy Action in Wales, said: “The event is aimed at people living with epilepsy, along with their family carers and friends. It’s open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy, and Epilepsy Action staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions about the condition in confidence.”
Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, has an extensive network of branches throughout the UK. The Llanelli branch meets at 6:00pm - 8:00pm on the second Wednesday of every month at the Community First Building opposite Llanelli train station. The meetings offer the opportunity for people to share their experiences of living with epilepsy and also raise awareness of the condition in the local community. Those who come along will also find out more about the seminar planned for June.
