Epilepsy event in Armagh

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a seminar in Armagh to provide support to people with epilepsy. 

It will take place on Tuesday 24 May at Armagh City Hotel, Armagh, from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.

Morina Clarke, Northern Ireland Manager, said: “We are organising a series of events across Northern Ireland during 2011. This event focuses on the work of the epilepsy specialist nurse in the Southern Trust.”

There will be information about many aspects of epilepsy to take away. Speakers include Orla McBirney, epilepsy specialist nurse at the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, who will be talking about her work. Marie Ferris, from Mindwise in Lurgan, will be speaking about how the work of Mindwise could benefit people with epilepsy.
